911/Dispatch Center

 

Hood River County 911 center is the single Public Safety Answering Point and dispatch point for Hood River County.  The dispatch center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  There are 11 full-time dispatchers, 1 part-time dispatcher, 1 extra help, 2 supervisors and the Director. 

 

Currently the center dispatches for the following agencies:

 

             Hood River County Sheriff’s Office

             Hood River Police Department

             Hood River Fire Department

             West Side Fire Department

             Pine Grove Fire Department

             Odell Fire Department

             Parkdale Fire Department

             Cascade Locks Fire/EMS Departments

 

As well as, occasionally dispatching for:

 

             Oregon State Police

             Unites States Forest Service – Law Enforcement Units

             Columbia River Intertribal Fisheries Enforcement

             Oregon Department of Forestry

 

We receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service, then dispatch the appropriate public safety agencies.  Besides the everyday calls for service, we act as the communications center for Search & Rescue, Animal Control and Marine patrol activities
